We use a wide range of abrasive to suit the products requirements. A fine sand, bead or glass will be used at a lore pressure for certain surfaces such as timber and alloys, as well as stone and brick if a ‘gentle approach’ is needed. For steel and other metals a course grit can be used depending on the grade of cleanliness required.

A collection and delivery service is available throughout North Devon for small items and our mobile unit is available for on-site work.

What is Shot Blasting

At ShotJet we use shot blasting as a method to clean and prepare surfaces for painting, powered coating, galvanising, car restoration, removing paint, removing milldrew, removing stains from metals, stains from woods, stains from stone and brickwork to leave a smooth and clean finish. If a course finish is required a tougher abrasive can be used.

Our arblast machine takes the form of a blast room, the blast media is pneumatically accelerated by compressed air and projected though a hose and nozzle onto a component. The blasting task determines the choice of the abrasive media, in most cases any type of dry or free running abrasive media can be used.
